Sacraments

Reconciliation

Saturdays: 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm or any time upon request.

Baptism

Any Saturday or Sunday except major holidays. A parental preparation program is held monthly. Parents are asked to contact the parish office for information two months in advance.

First Eucharist

The children receive First Eucharist in the second grade as a group in the month of May at a Saturday Liturgy. Through classroom and home instruction, "Jesus Retreat Days", parent meetings and special Sunday liturgies the children grow in their knowledge of Eucharist.

First Penance

Children make their first penance before First Eucharist at a penance service. Individual confessions are heard in the Penance room after which individual absolutions and individual penance are given.

Matrimony

Arrangements for weddings should be made at least one year in advance. The parish office is to be contacted to schedule dates and make arrangements.

Confirmation

After a two-year program including service obligations and classes of study, high school students qualify to receive the sacrament of confirmation.

Communion / Sick Calls

When any member of your family becomes ill or is confined to the home and unable to come to the Celebration of the Eucharist, please contact the parish office so that arrangements can be made for Communion to be brought to the house.

Sacrament of the Sick

The Sacrament of the Sick is available at anytime upon request by calling the rectory. This sacrament should be received prior to hospitalization (if possible), while hospitalized, for the homebound, for the dying, or whenever healing is needed.

RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation

RCIA is a Rite of the Catholic Church to initiate non-Catholics into the Catholic Christian community. Those Catholics who have not received Confirmation or Eucharist are also part of the RCIA process.

Individuals preparing for the sacrament gather periodically to deepen their own faith experience and to learn how the Christian community preaches and lives the Good News of Jesus Christ. Catechists, sponsors and members of the parish staff are all vital team participants.
